Power Using Pressure

For the most stubborn clogs and blockages, the best solution for your plumbing system is hydro jetting, an extremely effective method of cleaning pipes through the power of pressure washing. At Harts Services, our expert sewer and drain repair team use jetters that can flush the pipes in your plumbing system of any sand or silt buildup. Hydro jet sewer cleaning clears out clogs and root intrusions that a normal mainline cable machine is not able to tackle. We are well-equipped with two different sizes of hydro jetters for clearing challenging clogs, and we are prepared to take on any problems you may be having with roots or blockages.

A hydro jetter utilizes several different styles of jetter heads to push 2-18 gallons of water through pipes at an estimated 4000 PSI. Depending on the size of the jetter, it can clear pipes anywhere from 1.5 to 6 inches in diameter. Using both forward- and rear-facing nozzles, the head is forced forward into the obstruction, while strong jets of water break it apart, cleaning the pipe walls through pressure washing. The jetter head is attached to a high-pressure hose, which is in turn connected to a water reservoir. The reservoir allows the jetter to be used remotely and independent from an outside water source.

We use five different styles of jetter heads for various needs, including:

  • Warthog – Can negotiate elbows and clean-outs commonly found in homes, restaurants, buildings, and other light commercial facilities.
  • Penetrating nozzle – Features an additional forward-pointing jet that blasts a hole in solid ice or sludge blockages; three reverse jets provide propulsion.
  • Chisel Tip Nozzle – Has multiple forward-firing jets that allow for maximum blockage penetration and debris movement.
  • Reverse Flusher – Has three jets angled backward and to the side for flushing out debris from blocked pipes.
  • Jet Cleaner – General-purpose nozzle that works well in most applications.

Hydro jet sewer cleaning is by far the best and most effective way to get rid of stubborn clogs and tree roots that are all too common in the Pacific Northwest.

Hydro jet sewer cleaning is a great option for both commercial and residential areas. Plumbing is used much more frequently in a commercial setting, and therefore, business facilities are prone to many more pipe maintenance issues. Hydro jetting can be a great preventative tool, reducing the chance of losing business and inconveniencing customers. From a residential perspective, a hydro jetter is usually your last option in trying to solve plumbing issues, before replacing either part or all of your sewer line. Cutting out roots with a hydro jetter can often buy you a year or two, giving you time to save for a complete replacement of the sewer pipes.
