Effective & Noninvasive Sewer Camera Inspection Services

Minimize the possibility of expensive repairs and damage in the future with a video inspection of your sewer line and drain pipes.

A good rule of thumb is that, if your house was built before 1980 and the sewer pipes have not been replaced, they probably need to get changed out. A sewer line camera inspection is the most effective and thorough method of discovering the condition of your sewer pipes. Harts Services will send one of expert technicians to complete a skillful inspection and inform you of our findings and all the available options. It’s also a wise idea to have a sewer and pipe video inspection done when buying a new home.

How Does it Work?

A sewer line camera inspection is done by using three pieces of equipment:

  • Rigid See-Snake
The rigid see-snake is an extremely durable reel-and-camera system that allows us to pinpoint problems underground. It has a flexible camera head, as well as a fiberglass-reinforced pushrod so it can execute multiple 90-degree angles and travel as far as 325 feet. Its friction-reducing design allows for maximum push with minimal effort. The camera head is also equipped with self-leveling technology, which keeps the image upright as it navigates through turns and fittings. As the snake is pushed down into the pipe, it delivers a clear, sharp image to a G-vision monitor.
  • G-Vision Monitor
G-vision is a high-quality, lightweight way to monitor what is happening in your pipes. When coupled with the rigid see-snake, it is a surefire way to catch any obstructed or damaged areas that may exist underground. The monitor is mounted easily onto the camera reel and can record directly to a thumb drive, hard drive, iPhone, or iPad for later viewing. Also, an LCD screen and internal battery allows for up to four hours of full-color video inspection time that can be seen even in direct sunlight. When an internal problem is spotted on the screen, the problem area is found using a rigid locator.
  • Rigid Locator
The rigid locator is, as it sounds, a fast and easy way to locate exactly where a see-snake has spotted an affected or compromised area. This piece of equipment is extremely helpful, as it is able to guide you down the snake line as well as measure the depth of the pipe inspection camera head. When used along with the see-snake and G-vision monitor, it allows for a quick and accurate diagnosis of pipes with no need to excavate the entire line.

With these tools and technologies, Western Washington’s sewer and drain specialists are able to find and repair damages in specific areas, without having to dig up the entire pipe.
